Fernand Claisse and Jimmy S. Blanchette, (2004), 135 pp. Fernand CLAISSE
inc. ed.
This book is the only one of its kind in the Borate Fusion field.
Its main objective is to explain to fusion users the origin of their
problems so that they can modify their fusion technique accordingly,
instead of doing it by trial and error. Another objective is to let
the fusion users have the feeling that they know what they are doing,
and enjoy their work.
Non-users of the fusion technology will also learn that most of the
difficulties they are afraid to encounter have an easy solution. They
might become interested in using fusion to their own advantage. This
book is easy to read and to understand.

Calculated
from the Jean Leroux and Tran Phuc Thinh publications in X-Ray Spectrom.
1979/81
This CD-R contains a table of over 110,000 attenuation coefficients:
for 79 elements and 91 oxides, at 600 wavelengths at each 0.02 Å interval
between 0.14 and 12 Å; listed in one Excel spreadsheet. Customers
using Excel can also easily calculate lists of coefficients for other
oxides or more complex compounds, using two simple mathematical equations
and following simple instructions. Calculations can be done after
the CD-R file has been copied in the computer. Atomic masses and oxygen/metal
ratios that are required for each oxide are included.
Absorption (attenuation) coefficients are present everywhere in XRF
calculations.
